Acadia National Park Engagement Session | Sydney & Matt

Sydney and Matt’s engagement session at Acadia National Park was nothing short of incredible! Acadia has always been on my photography bucket list, so when the chance finally came, I was excited to make the five-hour drive up through Maine. The mix of ocean views, cliffs, and rugged landscapes made it a perfect spot for engagement photos.

We planned to meet at Sand Beach, so I arrived early to scout the best lighting and spots. The forecast had been showing rain all week, and sure enough, it started right as our session was supposed to begin. Despite the forecast, Sydney & Matt showed up smiling, ready to enjoy the moment, and even brought their dog along for a few sweet family photos! Since we were in such a stunning location, we decided to make the most of it and come back the next morning for a sunrise session. Best decision! The golden morning light at Sand Beach was incredible. With a fresh outfit change, Sydney and Matt looked amazing against the cliffs and shoreline. We moved from the beach up to the rocks, where the views were breathtaking and the lighting was absolutely perfect. Some of my favorite shots to date came from that morning! After wrapping up our engagement session, I spent time exploring more of Acadia, including the peak of Cadillac Mountain. The jaw dropping views from the top were the perfect ending to an adventurous weekend of photography.

Sydney and Matt’s Acadia engagement session was a reminder of why I love photographing couples in places like this; the combination of a stunning location and two people who genuinely enjoy being together makes for photos that feel both natural and timeless.
